Right now, my battery stats say 76% of used power in the last 24 hours went to this app and 6% went to the NY Times app, which was the 2nd highest battery user. This is a problem because my phone is barely making it through the day.
This app had 32 minutes on screen and the NY Times app had 18 minutes. So powering the display lighting while on screen isnt the problem. The problem is apparently whatever this app is doing in the background--which should be absolutely nothing. (The battery stays specifically mention background activity.)
A couple weeks ago there was a notice when I opened the app that said that a battery problem had been fixed and that the app should be updated. But all my apps were updated at that time from the App Store, and continue to be updated. I have the latest version that has been made available to me.
Whatever Insight Timer is doing to waste battery life is in the app publishers interest, not the users. Im going to look for another meditation timer app.
